My Identity

            My name is Dhara. I am a girl. I am a daughter to my parents and sister to my brother. I am a cousin to many people and a niece to a lot of people as well. I am an 8th grade student and technically a freshman in math. I am Indian American. My grandparents were from India.
I am a book lover. I have read so many books and I cannot stop reading. Some books I have enjoyed are "The Mortal Instruments", "Harry Potter", "Maximum Ride", and "The Trials of Apollo". Some author I like are Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Erin Hunter, and James Patterson.
 I can play the violin and I can play many songs. Some songs I have played is "Dragon Slayer", and "Gauntlet". A hobby of mine is playing outside and riding my bike. I love animals, but I don't have a pet. I have held a snake and a turtle before. I also love nature. My favorite mythical creature is a dragon. I like many different types of animals so I don't have a favorite. I am still growing, so I probably will have new hobbies and I might not like some hobbies I like now in the future.

  Margie Oppenheimer is a Holocaust survivor who has an interesting story about the three camps that she was sent to. First, she went to Riga Ghetto where she had to shovel snow. Though it seems like hard work, she said that it wasn't so hard, and she continued working hard so that she could survive. Not too long after she was sent to work at a rubber factory at Stutthof Concentration Camp. Endings and Beginnings

           As the end of the school year nears, I have created some goals that I want to achieve before it's over. One goal that I want to achieve is getting the best grades that I can possibly get. To me, grades are very important even though sometimes it doesn't matter what grades you get, but I still like to get the highest grades possible. Ways that I can do this is by working hard during class and on my homework. Another way I can do this is by doing extra credit. Some of my classes give extra credit, and I always do them. Another goal I have is to do well on my finals. I am going to study very hard, but not too hard that I'll have a mental breakdown. My goals for the end of the school year are getting the best grades, and doing well on my finals.             Also, I have goals for summer break as well. Perseverance: The Only Way

    The quote “Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.”  tells us the truth of getting something done. You can’t just think of something awesome, and then lay back and dream about it. To get anything to be done, you have to get up and do the work yourself. Be determined to fulfill your dream. Don’t look at it for 5 seconds and then abandon ship because it looks too hard or may take a long time. Everything is hard in someway and if you can make it through that, then you can do something that not everyone can do. People might hide from things because they are afraid of trying to do something new or challenging. Being confident and having a lot of perseverance is what makes up role models and good people. Even now, people look up to you, most likely your little siblings, friends or students in lower grade levels, and they might want to be like you.
