My Passion: Learning

         I love reading books, and articles, and watching videos about interesting topics that are not something you think about everyday or learn about in school. In school, we learn about topics in curriculum, so we don't learn everything about there is in the world. I like knowing those facts that are weird/cool, but we never learn about.

         Some channels on YouTube I watch are RealLifeLore, and Life Noggin. There are a bunch of other channels I also watch, but those are my favorites. I learn a lot of interesting things on these channels on topics of science, geography and more. 

       I read an interesting article on how the world was going to end on Saturday, September 23 (Obviously it didn't if you are reading this) and how people have been predicting the end of the world for a long time. This is something that really intrigues me and I enjoy researching more about things like this.

      If you know of any interesting topics or fact, I'd love to know them (or any book suggesting, I LOVE reading!).

  Margie Oppenheimer is a Holocaust survivor who has an interesting story about the three camps that she was sent to. First, she went to Riga Ghetto where she had to shovel snow. Though it seems like hard work, she said that it wasn't so hard, and she continued working hard so that she could survive. Not too long after she was sent to work at a rubber factory at Stutthof Concentration Camp. Some people think that everyone who watched over prisoners were bad because they were being cruel to their prisoners, but Margie’s boss at the factory wasn't like those stereotypes. He let his employees take pictures of themselves, and cook in his kitchen using his food. He had helped Margie and many others survive too. Endings and Beginnings

           As the end of the school year nears, I have created some goals that I want to achieve before it's over. One goal that I want to achieve is getting the best grades that I can possibly get. To me, grades are very important even though sometimes it doesn't matter what grades you get, but I still like to get the highest grades possible. Ways that I can do this is by working hard during class and on my homework. Another way I can do this is by doing extra credit. Some of my classes give extra credit, and I always do them. Another goal I have is to do well on my finals. I am going to study very hard, but not too hard that I'll have a mental breakdown. My goals for the end of the school year are getting the best grades, and doing well on my finals.             Also, I have goals for summer break as well. Perseverance: The Only Way

    The quote “Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.”  tells us the truth of getting something done. You can’t just think of something awesome, and then lay back and dream about it. To get anything to be done, you have to get up and do the work yourself. Be determined to fulfill your dream. Don’t look at it for 5 seconds and then abandon ship because it looks too hard or may take a long time. Everything is hard in someway and if you can make it through that, then you can do something that not everyone can do. People might hide from things because they are afraid of trying to do something new or challenging. Being confident and having a lot of perseverance is what makes up role models and good people. Even now, people look up to you, most likely your little siblings, friends or students in lower grade levels, and they might want to be like you.
