A Diary Entry: The Most Crooked Street in U.S.

February 17, 2018 Dear Diary,           Today, I went on the most crooked street in America. It is located in San Francisco, California. I went on vacation with my mom because it is a four day weekend, so we decided to come here to see my aunt and uncle. We went into the city to go sightseeing. We went to Pier 39, and saw all sorts of things, but the most interesting thing I saw was Lombard Street.           At first, I thought, "What could be so interesting about this exact street that it is famous?" The a lot roads of San Francisco are very interesting. Since the city is in a very mountainous area, some of the streets were very steep, and were fun to go up and down on, if you were in a car (Luckily, I didn't have to walk up any of those). I looked at the map I got, and a section of Lombard street was labeled "Most Crooked Street", and on the map, the road was zig-zagging. I was confused about why the street looked like that on the map, what could the

A Great Fantasy Series: The Grisha Trilogy

Currently, I am reading the book Siege and Storm . It is the second book of The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. The books in this series are Shadow and Bone , Siege and Storm , and Ruin and Rising . I recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy with romance in it. Anyone who wants to read this series might get a little confused with what is happening, so I will explain the basics of the world and the beginning plot in this post, hoping that it will help readers of this series. This series mainly takes place in Ravka, a country in this fantasy world. There are nations called Shu Han, and Fjerda that are next to Ravka, and multiple places farther out from Ravka, and across the sea. At the borders, there is always fighting going on. None of the story has taken place in Shu Han or Fjerda yet, so I don't know much about them. As for the magic part to this world, it's not really considered magic by the people of this world. They call it the

Even though they live in my area, I rarely hear them, or see them. However, this day was different. In the tree I was standing right next to was a woodpecker. I quickly and quietly took out my phone, and took this picture. . Later, I looked at a book of birds, and I identified that the woodpecker I saw was called a downy woodpecker. I love to see new birds, and observe them. This woodpecker didn’t seem scared of people. It clearly saw me, but didn’t fly away. When I showed my parents the woodpecker, it still didn’t fly away. I was interested by my observations, so I wrote about them in my journal. As time went by, I continued to write about interesting things I saw in nature, and I still have the journal that I wrote all these things in, so I can look back at them. After that day, I started t
